Introduction
This article explains how to request edits to your existing media content in SalesHub™. Whether you need minor adjustments to recently captured content or changes to content that's been in your library for some time, following the proper channels ensures your requests are handled efficiently.
Understanding Content Edits
Content edits may include:
- Removing unwanted objects from images
- Adjusting lighting or color balance
- Cropping or reframing photos
- Updating text overlays or captions
- Modifying 3D models (additional costs may apply)
- Addressing quality concerns
Who to Contact for Edit Requests
The appropriate contact for your editing requests depends on the status of your content:
For Active Shoots
If your photoshoot or 3D capture project is currently in progress or has been recently completed but not yet finalized:
- Contact your assigned Project Manager directly
- Reference the specific project name or Asset Name in your communication
- Provide clear details about the requested edits
- Submit your requests as early as possible in the production process
Project Managers can most efficiently address editing needs while the project is still active, before final versions are published to your SalesHub™ library.
For Existing Content
If you need edits to content that is already in your SalesHub™ library and is not part of an active project:
- Contact your Customer Success Manager
- Clearly identify which assets need editing
- Provide specific details about the changes needed
- Explain the reason for the requested edits (e.g., outdated elements, brand updates)
Your Customer Success Manager will evaluate your request and advise on the best approach, which may include scheduling touch-up edits or determining if a reshoot is more appropriate.
Best Practices for Edit Requests
To ensure your edit requests are processed efficiently:
Clear Communication
- Be specific about which images or 3D models need editing
- Provide clear descriptions of the changes needed
- Use visual references when possible (e.g., marked-up screenshots)
- Prioritize your requests if submitting multiple edits
Documentation
- Include the exact asset names or file references
- Attach examples or reference images when helpful
- Explain the business reason for the edit (brand compliance, quality improvement, etc.)
Turnaround Times and Costs
- Standard Processing Time: Allow 3-5 business days for all edits
- Complex Edits: Extensive retouching, large object removal, or edits to 3D models will incur additional costs
- Cost Estimates: Your Customer Success Manager or Project Manager will provide cost estimates for complex edits
Types of Edits and Considerations
Minor Adjustments (Typically No Additional Cost)
- Basic color correction
- Minor cropping or straightening
- Small object removal
Major Edits (May Incur Costs)
- Extensive retouching
- Large object removal
- 3D model modifications
- Complete scene reconstruction
Next Steps
Before requesting edits, review your content carefully and compile a comprehensive list of needed changes. This approach is more efficient than submitting multiple separate requests and ensures all modifications can be coordinated effectively.
