Your photoshoot day is exciting! Our professional photographers work efficiently to capture stunning immersive content that transforms how prospects experience your property. Here's what to expect so you can make the most of your session.
Before the Photographer Arrives
Your photographer will review the finalized shot list with you upon arrival to confirm all locations or note any last-minute adjustments. Please let your Project Manager know if any changes occur before the shoot date. We recommend having a designated team member stay with the photographer throughout the session to keep people out of capture areas and ensure each space is properly set up.
360° Photo Sessions
How Long It Takes
Each 360° photo takes roughly 10-15 minutes to capture, including time to navigate between locations, make final room adjustments, wait for guests to clear the area, and handle camera adjustments or weather interruptions. On average, our photographers capture at a rate of 4-6 panoramas per hour, moving faster in ideal conditions when spaces are prepared and ready.
What You'll Need to Do
Your designated team member will examine each location to ensure everything is camera-ready. Once we're set up, these shoots move quickly. Shot order is flexible based on your needs and constraints, so communicate any time-sensitive spaces (like restaurants during service) with your photographer early.
3D Model Sessions
How It Works
3D modeling uses a different camera and process. The camera scans your space, both measuring and capturing it simultaneously. A scan is taken about every 15 feet, giving our photographer a capture rate of 2,000-6,000 square feet per hour depending on specific conditions. All captured information combines to build your complete 3D model.
Connected Spaces Matter
We capture groups of rooms or spaces together, which means we'll also capture hallways, corridors, foyers, and lobbies connecting your featured rooms. No people can be present during these captures. This may require scheduling a separate session when spaces are empty and people can be kept out.
Note: For open spaces with no furniture (like empty ballrooms), our Pro3 camera can capture at a rate of 6,000 square feet per hour. Access to a Pro3 camera for your photoshoot is not guaranteed. Ask your Project Manager about timing estimates for your specific shoot.
Managing the Session
Depending on how many spaces we capture, sessions may take 30 minutes to several hours. As we capture one space, staff can move freely in others, but once we're in a space, everyone needs to stay out. It may not be practical to assign someone to follow the photographer constantly. Consider using signage, ropes, or other barriers to keep people away from active capture areas. Fewer interruptions mean faster sessions and better results.
Important Policies
Downtime Fees
If there's an hour or more of wait time between photos, a downtime fee of $99 per hour applies to compensate our photographers for their time. We often schedule multiple shoots on the same day, so please let us know if there's significant travel distance between locations. Travel time is not considered downtime.
Public Spaces
For both 360° and 3D modeling, it's essential to photograph public spaces when completely unoccupied. This might require capturing part of a space during the day with normal lighting and scheduling another session for lobby, restaurant, or other public areas late at night or early in the morning. We aim to minimize additional visits since extra fees may apply.
