Overview
Setting a starting point allows you to tailor the first impression for prospects by leading with your most compelling asset, rather than defaulting to the first item in your left-hand menu. This feature works with Full Collections, Custom Experiences, and My Collection/User Collections.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the Starting Point Setting
- For Full Collection: Navigate to "Presentation Mode" and look for the "Set Starting Point" button on any asset
- For Custom Experience/My Collection: Go to the "Customize" step where the "Set Starting Point" button appears for each asset
Set Your Starting Point
- Click the "Set Starting Point" button on your desired asset
- The button will change to display "Starting Point" once selected
- Visual indicators will appear in the left-hand menu showing which asset is selected at the Category, Type, and Asset Name levels
Default Behavior
- Full Collection: If no action is taken, the first asset in the left-hand menu automatically becomes the starting point
- Existing Custom Experiences: The first asset in the left-hand menu serves as the default starting point
- New Custom Experiences: The first asset collected and added automatically becomes the starting point
Best Practices and Tips
Choosing Your Starting Point
- Select your most visually compelling or impactful asset
- Consider your prospect's interests or the sales context
- Lead with content that supports your strategic narrative flow
Managing Updates
- You can change the starting point at any time by selecting a new asset
- New and previously shared links will reflect the updated starting point once refreshed
- There must always be a starting point - you cannot deselect without choosing a new one
Important Notes
- Starting points apply universally to all shares of that experience or collection
- Recipients will not see starting point buttons or menu indicators when viewing shared experiences
- If your selected starting point asset is deleted or removed, the system automatically reverts to the first available asset in the left-hand menu
- Only Property Admins can edit and update starting points
